A social innovation hub built for the Regional Social Policy Centre in Kraków. Residents describe a problem or an idea in their own words. An AI assistant helps structure it and finds relevant solutions from the ROPS innovation library. Institutions get an admin panel with summaries, risk assessments, matching innovations and a map of regional needs.
Backstory
We built hubmi.pl as JSON Derulo, a six-person team from Szczecin, for the Małopolska challenge at HackYeah 2026. The goal was to connect everyday problems with social innovations that already exist, while helping residents develop new ideas. My work covered the public chat screens and API integration, accessibility controls, the admin submissions and needs map, and later the idea canvas and AI-drafted grant applications. I also worked on semantic matching between submissions and innovations. The prototype received a weighted jury score of 7.35 out of 10; we did not reach the final pitches.
